Make A Paper Star!If you're like me you've probably seen these paper star things all over the net's cute sites, and never really tried them before. Well recently, I tried it when I decided to print out some of Adorkabelle's SUPER CUTE star paper. And now, I'm absolutely addicted. If you are now inspired by this FASCINATING story, go ahead on to her site, print some out, and use my lovely tutorial to learn how to fold. There's the video version or the simpler photo version below. The Star Paper Photo Tutorial! The Star Paper Photo Tutorial! ![]() 1. This is the straight, flat piece of star paper. ![]() 2. Take one end and put it under the other, like a ribbon, or as if you're making a knot. ![]() 3. Then take this longer end and bend it back, and through the hole... ![]() 4. And tighten. ![]() 5. Pull so each opening is only as wide as the piece coming through it, and flatten. ![]() 6. Take the shorter end and push through one "opening"... ![]() 7. And pull to tighten. ![]() 8. Bend back and fold this short end... ![]() 9. ...until it's a little piece that you can tuck under another opening. ![]() 10. Flip it over so the long end, that is left, is the underside (blank side) showing. ![]() 11. Valley fold this, so that the paper naturally falls to the next side... ![]() 12. ...and repeat until all the paper is used. ![]() 13. And all you have left is this little tab... ![]() 14. ...Tuck again so you have this plain, flat pentagon. ![]() 15. Hold in your right hand with your thumb and index finger. Press the "open" side opposite your thumb, with your left thumb, so that it is "perpendicular" to the star's side. ![]() 16. Rotate the star, and repeat step 15 to each side, you should end up with this small, 3-D star!!! |
